The hotel was kind of old, but it was clean. We stayed in the accessible room. The phone chargers didn’t work. So we went out and bought a wall charger. They still didn’t work. Other than the chargers, we had a very nice stay. The linen was all clean, which is the most important thing to us. I took off 1 star because the picture makes it look so nice. It really is old. But our stay was really nice, and the employees were very accommodating.

The burger and chicken sandwich we had at the bar on site was amazing! How convenient to have the bar and food available right in the hotel! The bartender even ran to the kitchen to let them know our food order was coming with only 5 minutes til closing! Amazing customer service!

This is NOT a 3.5-star hotel! It’s merely ok. The usual thin walls, audible yapping dogs, and worrisome housekeeping (we found leftover trash behind the night table whilst searching for an electric outlet) typical of a 2-star chain. Front desk was kind and helpful and it was ok because we booked at a discount on Priceline. But you would not be happy if you were paying for a 3.5 star. Noisy air conditioning system that struggled on/off all night to maintain a consistent temperature.

Gross. I checked in and immediately checked out. Carpets in hallways were disgusting and there were carts and other industrial junk cluttering the hallways. The sheets had not been changed. Grass growing in parking lot, while not a problem does indicate that this property has been neglected. I saw the photos on this site, and I'm having a hard time believing those are actual photos of this hotel.

Beware! The staff at the Four Points by Sheraton Kalamazoo are horrendous! They are rude, completely screwed up our reservations, did not apologize for the mistakes and treated us as if it was our fault. We reserved 10 rooms in total and every single room was wrong. One of the rooms which was on the third floor had ants infesting the room and in another one, the air conditioning didn't work. Our room was not cleaned in the three days that we stayed there and we had to go down to the front desk for clean towels. I would NEVER stay there again. Also, they advertise a pool, there is no pool on the property.

This hotel is friggin disgusting. The sheets, blankets and pillows were different colors. The towels and wash clothes were like a light yellowish color. But what REALLY drew the line for me was when I took a look at the vents. The bathroom vents were FILTHY which resulted in me waking up sick the next morning. 1/5 stars for me.

The front desk people were very friendly as was the host at breakfast. The decor and style in the lobby area are great and create the illusion of a clean modern hotel. This hotel looks like it was once nice but looks like it had been run into the ground. It seems like there is an interim manager so I’m guessing they are transitioning hopefully out of whoever managed this place. The rooms were sold out. They gave away my room. Instead of telling me ahead of time so I could make arrangements for a new hotel, when I checked in they told me and my room was downgraded. And for my troubles they comped one breakfast. Not two, which would have been the number of nights I was there…but one. I went in a wild goose chase to hunt down ice. On my floor the machine had been pulled out, great. Had to go the third floor. The machine was out of order. Went to the second floor, again pulled out. Found an operating one in the first floor. Next to an outlet that hung by its wires having been cut out of the wall. The hallways were scattered with mismatched light fixtures and different colored lights and every few steps one of the lights was burned out. My bathroom was stocked with very very old very used worn towels. It a towel is so worn it’s turned yellow and has blood or other brain stains on it, just pull it from the rotation please. Very disappointed

Terrible. The first thing I did was to get Mister Proper and clean the room and bathroom 3 times.And there is enormous noise from the highway. A quiet sleep is impossible. Breakfast is low level......

Within the first 5 mins of arriving, found the luggage trolly hard to manipulate, passing by a prominent staff member of the hotel, she offered her apologies viewing my struggle and stated, “I have been asking for new ones for the past 6 months”.    Did hear later that one of the guest had the wheel fall off of their trolley.   Reservations had been made for a double queen in a standard room beginning of March 2023.  Was first given a King bed, without mentioning the change, and that room the lock did not work, and had not been working for some time.  They then gave us a handicap room. The room itself was handicap.  When turning the faucet on the sink it would bag against the only mirror in the place.  If handicap, where is the mirror in a lower height for a wheelchair person? There was a grab bar in the tub area, just gently put my hand on it , and it fell apart,  all grab bars should hold a weight of 300-500lbs.  Picture attached in pieces. I had gently touched the bar as I was exiting the tub,  and it fell apart,  had I really needed it I would have fallen face forward on the floor.  When relating the story to the front desk they seemed like it did not matter much about the impaired grab bar.   And if a handicap room, where was the rolling in shower, it  had a regular tub.   There was no stopper in the bathroom sink,  just an empty hole.  Water coming out was yellow/brown, they blamed it on the city. There was no closet for cloths but a short rack over the “locked” box, very inconvenient. This hotel had “begged” our group to return saying they would show improvements sighted   two years ago, but the problems remained . Would say, the dining room staff was awesome, the food was decent.   The front desk staff were also pleasant.   It was very trying on my part as I felt frustrated by the condition of the place. And I did not get the room I reserved over 7 months ago.   Really thought Sheratons are better. But obviously I will stay away from Sheratons in the future.
